Why we teach this way

Wherever you arrive on the mat is the only honest place to begin. We just take it from there.

Honest questions

A few things people have asked.

If your question isn't here, write to us. A real teacher reads the inbox.

Is this for beginners — really beginners?

Yes, including people who have never been to a class. The Hatha foundations series and the short breath sessions are good places to start. Every pose is offered with modifications. You don't need to know the Sanskrit, and you don't need to be flexible. You need a quiet five minutes.

What styles of practice are included?

Vinyasa, hatha, slow flow, yin, restorative, pranayama (breathwork), and guided meditation. Some teachers cross styles — a restorative class often ends with a short meditation, and a vinyasa class always includes a few minutes of breathwork.

How many classes are in the library?

More than 100 classes and growing. We don't pad the shelf — every class is one we'd be willing to teach in person. When something stops being useful, we quietly retire it.

Will I need props?

Most classes need nothing but a mat. Restorative and yin sessions are easier with a couple of pillows, a folded blanket, and (optionally) a bolster. Each class tells you what it needs in the first ten seconds, so you can swap if you don't have something on hand.

Can I cancel? Will it be a hassle?

Cancel anytime, from your account page, in one click. No phone call, no retention offer, no guilt. Charges will appear on your statement as innerpth.com. If you ever return, your account history is retained, so returning is easy.
